Keri's Personal Statement

Hello, residents of Huntington Beach. I am Keri Gorsage, wife to Chad Gorsage, an exceptional high school teacher in the Huntington Beach Union High School District, and proud mother to Madison and Shane, who both attended Ocean View schools.  I teach at The Pegasus School and am honored to announce my candidacy for the position of school board member for the Ocean View School District.

As an accomplished and dedicated educator for nearly 30 years, including the last 27 years at The Pegasus School in Huntington Beach, I am committed to ensuring that every child in our school district receives a high-quality education that prepares them for a successful future. As a teacher and a mother, I have witnessed firsthand the challenges and opportunities that our students face. The expectation is for every child to have access to a safe and nurturing learning environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

To support our students beyond the classroom, I have served as PTA President at Marine View Middle School and have volunteered and served on various boards and committees.  My involvement with the Ocean View Little League, the Academy of the Performing Arts (APA) at Huntington Beach High School, and the Ballet Repertory Theatre Association all serve to demonstrate my steadfast commitment to our children.

Let’s work in partnership to drive positive change.

I am grateful and honored to learn that…

“The Ocean View Teachers Association (OVTA) officially and unanimously endorses Keri Gorsage.  We know with absolute certainty that students are her #1 priority.  Please vote and help us elect the candidate who truly understands what our students, parents, teachers and community as a whole need to protect our progress and help us thrive.”

With your support, I am looking forward to serving our community and making a difference in the lives of our children.
